| KOrean Sustainable Apartment Validation Environment : KOSAVE

| KOSAVE aims at constructing a design decision support system to design sustainable buildings especially green homes based on their design prototype and the LCC based integrative evaluation model to minimize energy consumption and environmental load and maximizing occupants' comfort at the same time. This system is based on systematic decomposition technique by classifying a typical sustainable green home facility into passive systems, active systems and renewable energy related facilities. For each of these sub-systems, existing or recent related technologies and systems have been comprehensively examined and analyzed to prepare an optimum design platform as well as an integrative design evaluation model for assessing energy consumption and CO2 emission effect when the target residential units and buildings are in operational mode. Finally, KOSAVE aims at establishing a macro level design decision support system for designing sustainable green homes in various contexts and constraints.
